On-site AI integration, industrial automation, and equipment rescue for Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Real problems. Honest assessments. Solutions that last.
// What I Do
Professional consulting for real systems, real equipment, and real business risk. Discovery is paid. Build work is scoped. Production-critical work is priced accordingly.
Machine workflow, CNC process support, sensor integration, machine data capture, and production-risk reduction for shops and builders.
CNC workflow analysis, machine data capture, sensor validation, control logic, and tool/process guardrails. Production-critical, machine-control, safety-adjacent, or CNC integration work requires separate written scope.
Save broken machines others say to replace. If it can be fixed, isolated, or responsibly routed, the path will be found.
Diagnostics, root-cause isolation, recovery planning, legacy equipment support, replacement-path research, and practical repair strategy. Larger repair, fabrication, or machine-modification work requires separate scope.
Use AI as a practical working partner for technical writing, planning, research, code review, workflow design, and operational clarity.
Prompt systems, documentation workflows, internal knowledge capture, AI-assisted research, SOPs, technical planning, and SYMB-FER-style continuity systems for builders, shops, and small teams.
Websites, internal tools, automations, and business systems built for clarity, usefulness, and maintainability.
Static sites, landing pages, lightweight tools, APIs, scripts, dashboards, documentation systems, and small-business technology support. Scoped by complexity, risk, and maintenance needs.
Paid discovery for complex problems before anyone guesses at the build, repair, or automation cost.
Discovery maps the current state, bottlenecks, risks, options, and roadmap. Standard discovery starts at $1,500. Industrial/CNC automation, machine data, sensor, and custom AI/software discovery starts at $2,500.
Reserved monthly availability for ongoing systems, automation, web, and advisory support.
Retainers reserve defined monthly time and priority access. Builder: $1,500/mo up to 8 hrs. Systems: $3,000/mo up to 18 hrs. Automation: $5,000/mo up to 32 hrs. High-risk or production work requires separate written scope.
Scope note: Industrial automation, CNC workflow systems, machine data capture, sensor integration, production-critical systems, and custom AI/software automation require paid discovery and separate written scope. Partnership, equity, revenue share, or “cut-in” arrangements are not substitutes for paid discovery or scoped build work unless separately negotiated in writing.
// How It Works
Every engagement follows the same honest process - from first call to final fix.
Phone or video call. I'll tell you whether I can solve it, whether I need to see it in person, or whether you need a different specialist. No pressure. No charge.
Physically assess with professional documentation - voice recorded (with consent), photographed, written up. You get a clear picture of what's wrong and what it will take to fix.
If I said I can fix it, I fix it. If I referred you out, I check back within a week. No ghosting. No vague promises. Accountability is part of the service.
Every client engagement begins with a signed Service Agreement:
// Where I Work
Based in Colorado City, AZ - a border community with dual-state access and minimal competition for real technical expertise.
No travel surcharge - just the hourly rate.
Tribal community members (Kaibab Paiute & CNAB): 25% discount on all services.
Travel fee added transparently to invoice, logged per trip.
St. George is one of the fastest-growing cities in the US. Retirees, remote workers, new small businesses - real technology needs with almost no local expert capable of serving them at the industrial and AI methodology level.
// The Research Side
SYMBEYOND AI LLC is the business. SYMBEYOND is the research - 15 years of documented human-AI collaboration methodology. The portal is its home.
// The Founder
John DuCrest is an early practitioner and documenter of human-AI collaboration methodology. Since 2010, he has developed SYMBEYOND, a framework treating AI as a collaborative partner rather than a tool, producing a versioned protocol, a published academic paper, and a body of real industrial and research work that predates the mainstream conversation by more than a decade. He is also a self-taught embedded systems engineer whose automation work has been running in daily production for years.
4,000+ lines of C firmware. Teensy 4.1. Dual-axis NEMA 23 stepper control. Rescued a $20K wall printer on a $1K budget.
Custom Python/GPIO control system for automated HVLP spray coating. Featured on Instructables.
30-foot synchronized light and audio installation. Composed 7 of 9 custom songs. Built a standalone cross-platform audio processing app to automate the workflow.
Documented human-AI collaboration methodology. λ.brother ∧ !λ.tool. Published on GitHub under GPL licensing.
